Further Details: James Walker (1756 - 1800) was born in England, and moved to Canada around 1770. In 1777 he was called to the bar of the province of Quebec. He was the representative of Montreal in the first Legislative Assembly of Lower Canada from 1792 to 1796. In 1794 he became a judge of the Common Pleas and also to the Court of the king's Bench. He died in Montreal, Canada on the 31st January 1800.
