Further Details: Anna Louisa Walker (1836 - 1907) was a poet and a hymn-writer. In 1861 she wrote 'Leaves from the Canadian backwood. She was born in England, but went to Canada as a child with her parents. Before 1858 at Point Levy in Canada East, and after she moved to Sarnia in Canada East. It was in Sarnia that she and her sisters ran a private school for young ladies. She married Harry Coghill and died in England in 1907.
