Further Details: A Lawyer and journalist, William Walker (1797 - 1844) was born in Three Rivers, Lower Canada. He was a successful lawyer and in 1835 he presented the views of the British constitutional party in Lower Canada to the British Government. He became the editor of the Montreal Times, and it was in Montreal that he died on the 10th April 1844.
